Duxton Hotel Perth 10 Year Anniversary

The 'Glitz and Glamour' factor was well and truly catered for at Perth's Duxton Hotel's 10 Year Anniversary Celebration, commemorating the establishment of the Hotel on one of Perth's historic sites, formerly the Perth Tax office and originally the Christian Brother's College.
The facade of the hotel provides an aura of culture and sophistication and in keeping with the immaculate presentation of the venue, our stylish trio, Tres Classique were invited to perform at this prestigious event. Guests enjoyed their beautiful music in the newly refurbished foyer while sipping french champagne and nibbling gourmet delights.

Tres Masque

The 'Masque' is a term used to describe a form of courtly entertainment popular in the 16th and 17th Century's. Masked players would unexpectedly call on nobility in their hall, dancing and presenting gifts to celebrate auspicious occasions. Traditionally, at the completion of their performance, the actors, musicians and dancers would remove their masks to reveal their identities.

In keeping with Venetian traditions, the musicians from Tres Classique gave a masked performance, with pageantry, aristocratic panache and classical style, creating just the right Carnival atmosphere. Who are our players pictured above? Who is the Angel of Music?
